Using LiDAR (3D imaging), 3D Data Pro surveyed multiple cabins to capture every dimension as they stand. These cabins are located in Thoreau, New Mexico and have been used as part of an outdoor education, exploration, and community connection program for local youth. After processing the data into an architectural 3D model using industry standard BIM software and exporting 2D plans, sections, and elevations, our client was able to preserve the original construction of the cabin and update them physically to make them safer and more functional for generations to come.
